My name is Beth and welcome to my blog!
I’m a firm believer in adventure and exploring all the weird and wonderful things that this world has to offer. Whether it’s on the other side of the world or right on your doorstep, creating special memories and discovering the unknown is what I believe life is all about.
I’ve always had a bit of an adventurous soul with my head stuck in the clouds. As a little girl, I would roam through the trees in our garden, weaving my way between the overgrown branches and pretending I was in the depths of an exotic rainforest.
I loved nothing more than letting my imagination run wild and take me away to all sorts of far away lands.
As an adult, this love of adventure hasn’t faded and I have an ongoing case of severe wanderlust. From moving 250 miles away from home to go to university by the sea in Cornwall, to spending 5 months up in the snowy Austrian mountains, my mind is constantly thinking of the next new place I can visit.
The list of places I want to go and things I want to do is infinite.
At 23, I finally decided to follow my dream and embarked on my first solo trip, backpacking my way across South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka for 8 months. Much to the dismay of my parents, my trip didn’t quench my thirst for adventure, but only planted the travel bug seed.
Unfortunately, along with adult life comes adult responsibilities, and a full-time job in London with the constraints of annual leave has meant my adventures these days are on a slightly smaller scale.
But they’re by no means less important to me.
And that’s what this blog is all about.
It’s about the moments you step away from your desk, get outside your comfort zone and jump in to the unknown.
It’s a place for me to share some of the places I’ve been lucky enough to visit and hopefully inspire others to reconnect with their adventurous side, get out there and explore this great big world for themselves.
It’s about staying curious and staying wild.
I hope you enjoy the ride!
